Centre Point Mall (Milnerton) earmarked for development since 2007, was torn down in 2011. Construction of the new mall, reported to be costing some R260 million, finally began late in 2016.
Plans for the new building on the corner of Koeberg and Loxton Roads include cool ventilation of service passages, south-facing glazing and naturally ventilated parking. The covered basement parking is to have internal access to the 10 000m² mall which will have two floors of retail outlets such as Pick n Pay, Clicks, a food hall, a full banking lobby, clothing shops and a restaurants with Table Mountain views over Table Bay.
A convenient and secure retail destination, there is also to be 42 flats (a whole floor of which with clear views of Table Mountain and Table Bay) on three levels, and customer parking for 400 cars.
The Centre Point Mall is well located for the communities of Koeberg, Milnerton, Woodbridge Island, Sunset Beach, Table View and Canal Walk.
